Nice to meet you! I’m Jane.

My career started with a love for sewing and an affinity for sticky problems. Prior to product & web design I helped thousands of unique entrepreneurs in the e-commerce and service-based space, troubleshooting both technical and creative challenges they faced in their business.

I enjoy digging deep into the root of why things are built the way they are and what drives decision making in humans. When building digital experiences, I strive to find the balance in a brand’s authenticity and conversion-focused design.

Am I the designer you’re looking for?

I dipped my toe into web design nearly 10 years ago while in the non-profit sector. Noticing the organization’s sewing class registrations were low, I took matters into my own hands by enrolling in several courses with Canada Learning Code and Shopify to learn marketing, web development, and e-commerce skills. I redesigned the org’s Shopify site, revamped class descriptions, and within weeks, class registration doubled and we even had waitlists! Heck yeah.

This sparked my journey into tech where I worked in Support and Knowledge Management roles and collaborated closely with Product teams. Fascinated by how designers approached problem-solving, I pursued a UX Design Diploma in 2023 to deepen my understanding of user-centered design. I’ve been hooked ever since. 🎣

(Hooked! Get it? It’s funny because my last name is Fysh)

Let’s design together.

Let’s play 2 truths & a lie 🎲

  1. Elijah Wood once autographed my arm

  2. One of my ancestors signed the Declaration of Independence

  3. I have four brothers and four sisters

Can you guess the lie?

  • Elijah Wood has not autographed my arm 😔 Maybe one day, I’m a dreamer.

Yup, I have 8 siblings! (And I remember all of their birthdays 🎂)

I am descended from William Hooper, an American politician born in Boston in 1742 – he signed the Declaration of Independence nearly a month late.
